The log file name is vminst.log. It should also be present in the temp folder. Also this is using the bundled DB correct?
Can you also post what is the value of TCPPort contained in the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\VIM_SQLEXP\SuperSocket...\TCP
